Why Are You Here?

Q: If you're into trading to make a buck, do you really think the answers are here?

A: Why are you here? Why are you asking the questions?
If you're actually interested in an answer perhaps you
should share your own feelings first.

I'm "into trading". I do it for a living, I make a nice living.
I have actually learned from this group (granted, not
much lately).

I have learned a lot myself, not from others so much

as from trying on my
own.

I'm mainly here for the amusement.

It's like watching people play the lottery. Some have "systems" to picking
their numbers. Others just take a gamble on a number.

But, overall, the "systemeers" are all wrong. Not because I am smarter or
any better than even the least of them (whomever that may be), but, because
they are wrong to believe in a "system" for trading stocks. They just don't
work.

Then, there are those that use the financial indicators of a company to
decide whether or not to buy that company's stock. Although there is more
logic to this approach it is also a system-based approach and, therefore,
flawed. Financial indicators annot be counted upon to significantly
increase wealth when picking only a very few stocks or seeking short term
gains - such as cash flow from investing.

I find it very enlightening to watch what people do in the search for wealth
and the security that it represents.

I think you will find that people believe and see what they want most of the
time. And, that the only true indication of an upturn in stocks is not even
tracked.
