Bob And Michael: What Should I Buy ?
Q: AMD CSCO SUNW LU These stocks? Long term?
A:
I don't have any "list of stocks", but I do have an absolutely free
listserv, in which, I describe every trade that I actually do with
my own money, most importantly, including my detailed analysis of
WHY I did the trade, promptly AFTER I do it. There's more
info about the listserv in the middle of my absolutely free (you
can't even regi
for which, the URL is shown in my sig lines.
Unless you have capacity to ride out a five to ten YEAR bear
market, gradually acquiring dozens if not hundreds of DIFFERENT
companies along the way without needing to sell for any reason,
at least wait until the rash of bankruptcies, which is already
pending in de facto form, has hit the fan. If you haven't seen
at least seventy or eighty significant bankruptcies within a
short period of time, "it ain't time yet". That is the long form
of my answer to the question which many newbies ask: "Is now a
good time to get into the stock market?" The short form is "NO!"
Nope. Forty years ago when I was very much younger and naive, yeah,
until the day that manipulators decided to close the market after
only minutes of response trading, "in the national interest", so that
they would have time to arrange a major bull play against those of
us who were short that day on the basis of market trends and without
knowledge of the takeover of the U.S. government which a certain
Texas politician had scheduled for later that day. Since 1963 I've
done only ONE day trades (and that was a fluke where I discovered
within a few hours some adverse information about the stock that I
had just bought).
In everything these days, yes. Far too much. After more than 41
years trading stocks, however, I keep stirring the cauldron to see
what morsels might be sludging around on the bottom that might
actually have some survivable value, anyway. Getting sparse and
very very risky, but I'm still finding things occasionally.
