Tech For Futures Vs. Stocks

Q: How much of what I've learned about Technical Indicators do I need to relearn switching from Futures to the Stock trade?

A: I've been reading a lot about chart patterns and indicators that are
relevant to trading Futures..
Just as I started to get a feel for what sort of patterns drive the
market, I've decided that the Futures game may be a bit rich for my
blood. So, I've decided now to look into trading stocks..specifically
day trading.

My experience is

that it is mostly the same except that breakouts on a stock
chart, especially 1-minute or 5-minute, are much less reliable. Stocks tend
to be more sluggish than futures. I find the ultra-short-term patterns to be
simpler, with nary a head-and-shoulders to be found. The most reliable
formation is a triangle, where a rising trendline, for example, is almost to
certain to prevail over flat resistance, that is, a double top.
